PERAN SISTEM REFINERY OIL ACCOUNTING SYSTEM (ROAS) DALAM PENGELOLAAN PERSEDIAAN PRODUK POLYTAM DI PT KILANG PERTAMINA INTERNASIONAL REFINERY UNIT III PLAJU
Inventory management is a crucial aspect of maintaining smooth production and distribution in the oil and petrochemical industry. PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional RU III Plaju, the producer of Polytam, implements an integrated digital system, the Refinery Oil Accounting System (ROAS), to monitor, record, and control stock movements in real time. This study aims to explain the role of ROAS in Polytam product inventory management and its effectiveness in supporting data accuracy, operational efficiency, and distribution accuracy. The research method was conducted through direct observation during an internship in the Finance Department of RU III Plaju, focusing on Polytam data input, document verification, volume unit conversion, and the issuance of Certificate of Quantity Transferred (CQT) and Pass Gate documents. Observations indicate that ROAS significantly contributes to minimizing recording errors, accelerating the reporting process, and improving inventory transparency and control. However, system implementation still faces several challenges, such as input delays, inconsistencies between physical data and the system, and network constraints. Overall, ROAS has played a positive role in improving the effectiveness of Polytam inventory management. However, system optimization and operator competency development are still needed to maximize data quality and operational efficiency.
