ANALISIS EFISIENSI SALURAN PEMASARAN GABAH KERING PANEN DI DESA SEMBADAK KECAMATAN PEMULUTAN KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR

Soleman, Muhammad - Personal Name;

The rice sector played an important role in supporting food security and farmers’ livelihoods in Indonesia; however, inefficiencies in the marketing system often resulted in low prices received by farmers due to long marketing chains involving intermediaries. The objectives of this research were (1) to describe the forms of rice marketing channels in Sembadak Village, Pemulutan District, (2) to calculate the marketing margin and farmer’s share of rice in Sembadak Village, Pemulutan District, and (3) to analyze the efficiency level of rice marketing channels in Sembadak Village, Pemulutan District. This research was conducted in Sembadak Village, Pemulutan District, Ogan Ilir Regency in November 2025. The research used a survey method and a simple random sampling method. The data consisted of primary and secondary data and were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of the research showed that the rice marketing channels in Sembadak Village consisted of two marketing patterns used by farmers, namely Channel I: Farmers – Rice milling factory (27.10%) and Channel II: Farmers – Collecting traders (middlemen) – Rice milling factory (72.90%), where Channel II was the distribution channel most widely used by farmers. The marketing margin in Channel I was Rp0/kg, while in Channel II it reached Rp441/kg. Meanwhile, the farmer’s share in Channel I was higher than in Channel II, where Channel I had a farmer’s share of 100%, while Channel II had a farmer’s share of 93%. Furthermore, the marketing channels were categorized as efficient, as indicated by the marketing efficiency values of Channel I and Channel II which were 2.03% and 3.99%, respectively. Both values were below the efficiency threshold of 33%, indicating that the rice marketing process in both channels operated well and efficiently.
