PENGARUH PENDAPATAN PETANI PADI TERHADAP KONSUMSI RUMAH TANGGA PETANI PESERTA PROGRAM OPLA DI DESA MERAH MATA KECAMATAN BANYUASIN I
Most of the population in Merah Mata Village relied on agriculture as their main livelihood, particularly rice farming. Income from rice farming did not fully meet household needs, so some farmers utilized non-farming income sources to support their family welfare. This study aimed to (1) calculate the income of rice farming farmers participating in the OPLA Program (2) analyze the household consumption levels of these farmers (3) examine the relationship between rice farming income and household consumption levels (4) analyze the influence of both farming and non-farming income on household consumption in Merah Mata Village. The study was conducted in Merah Mata Village, Banyuasin Regency, in November 2025 using a survey method with simple random sampling. The data consisted of primary data obtained from interviews with 40 farmer respondents and secondary data from village documents. The results showed that (1) most farmers had low rice farming income, averaging IDR 3,139,932 per hectare per month (2) household consumption with an average total consumption of IDR 3,021,873 per month (3) there was a positive relationship between rice farming income and household consumption levels (4) both rice farming income and non-farming income together significantly influenced household consumption, indicating that non-farming income played an important role in supporting family consumption capacity. These findings can serve as a basis for planning programs to increase farmer income and for developing more targeted intervention policies to improve farmer household welfare through the OPLA Program.
