KAJIAN PENINGKATAN LAYANAN ANGKUTAN UMUM DARI DAN MENUJU PASAR TANJUNG RAJA KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN
The high use of private vehicles, limited service coverage of public transportation in several areas of Ogan Ilir Regency, and the poor condition of existing vehicles have become major issues affecting transportation performance in the Tanjung Raja Market area. This study aims to analyze the service quality of public transportation to and from Tanjung Raja Market and to identify service improvement priorities based on user perceptions and preferences. The research adopts a quantitative approach using purposive sampling with 100 respondents who are market visitors and have experience using public transportation. The analysis is conducted using Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and the conformity level (Tki) to assess the gap between user expectations and actual service performance. The results indicate that the Tki values for the tangibility and empathy dimensions are below 70%, suggesting that these aspects have not met user expectations and require improvement. Meanwhile, the responsiveness, reliability, and assurance dimensions show values above 70%, indicating that the service has relatively met user expectations. The findings also reveal that users tend to increase their use of public transportation if service quality is improved, particularly in terms of comfort, supporting facilities, and driver attentiveness. Therefore, service improvement strategies should focus on enhancing vehicle conditions and increasing driver awareness toward passengers in order to improve user satisfaction and encourage greater use of public transportation. Keywords: public transportation, service quality, conformity level, IPA, user preference
