PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA MENULIS NASKAH DRAMA BERBASIS CERITA RAKYAT SUMATRA SELATAN BERBANTUAN FLIPHTML5

Herviani, Rensi - Personal Name;

This study aims to: (1) describe the need for developing drama script writing media based on South Sumatran folklore assisted by FlipHTML5; (2) describe the design of the learning media; and (3) describe the feasibility of the media in improving students' writing skills in the Traditional Malay Palembang Theater course. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with the development model of Alessi and Trollip (2001), which includes the stages of planning, design, and development. The research data consist of qualitative data obtained through interviews and quantitative data obtained through questionnaires and tests (pretest and posttest). The learning media were developed based on the results of the needs analysis of students and course instructors. The results of the media development include components of drama script writing materials, structure, writing steps, elements of drama, as well as examples of scripts based on South Sumatran folklore, which are packaged in the form of an interactive digital flipbook using FlipHTML5. The validation test was conducted by material experts, media experts, and language experts. The validation results show that the feasibility percentage of the material is 87.5% (very feasible), language 91.6% (very feasible), and media 75% (feasible). In addition, the effectiveness test results indicate a significant improvement in students' writing skills, as shown by the increase in the average score from 53.03 (pretest) to 85.42 (posttest) with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Based on these results, the drama script writing media based on South Sumatran folklore assisted by FlipHTML5 is declared feasible for use in learning to improve students' writing skills and support the preservation of local culture. Keywords: Development, drama script, folklore, FlipHTML5, writing skills.
