PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN MENULIS BIOGRAFI TOKOH MENGGUNAKAN MIND MAPPING BERBANTUAN CANVA UNTUK SISWA KELAS X SMA SRIJAYA NEGARA PALEMBANG

This study aims to produce a learning media product in the form of Mind Mapping with the help of Canva for learning materials for writing biographies of figures for grade X students of SMA Srijaya Negara Palembang. This study uses a research and development model with reference to the Alessi & Trollip model. Learning media was developed by referring to a needs analysis questionnaire obtained from students and teachers. Based on the results of the needs analysis, Mind Mapping-based learning media with the help of Canva is very much needed to support learning to write biographical texts at SMA Srijaya Negara Palembang. Furthermore, product design and development were carried out starting from the planning stage, such as designing learning concepts, compiling materials, and creating media designs using Canva. Then, an initial product trial was conducted through expert validation and continued with product revisions according to suggestions from the validator. Expert validation was carried out by assessing the product on the material, media, and language aspects. In the material aspect, the product obtained a score of 57 out of a maximum score of 60 with a percentage of 95% or very feasible. In terms of media, this product obtained a score of 41 out of a maximum score of 44 with a percentage of 93.18% or very feasible. In terms of language, this product received a score of 29 out of a maximum of 32, or 90.62%, or very good. Based on expert assessment, the learning tool for writing biographical texts using Mind Mapping with Canva was deemed very good and could proceed to further testing.
