Introduction: The use of plastic containers for hot food and drinks among adolescents is a concern for environmental health and food safety because it can increase exposure to microplastics and the migration of hazardous chemicals such as bisphenol A (BPA) and phthalates into food. This exposure carries the risk of endocrine system disruption, inflammation, metabolic disorders, decreased reproductive function, and even long-term chronic diseases. The low level of knowledge among adolescents regarding the safety of plastic usage leads to the continued prevalence of plastic containers for hot food in everyday life. Health education using video and booklet media was chosen because it is able to convey information visually, attractively, and easily understood, thereby improving adolescents' understanding. This study aims to describe the implementation of health education using video and booklet media in improving adolescents' knowledge regarding the dangers of using plastic containers for hot food. Methods: The study used a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach in three families with adolescents aged 14-16 years in Permata Baru Village, North Indralaya. Health education was conducted for five consecutive days using video and booklet media, then evaluated using pretest and posttest questionnaires. Results: The results showed an increase in knowledge in all adolescents were An. L from 40% to 70%, An. A from 50% to 90%, and An. K from 40% to 100%. Adolescents began to understand the dangers of microplastics, the impact of plastic use in hot food, and how to prevent it. Conclusion: Health education using video and booklet media effectively increases adolescents' knowledge and awareness of the dangers of using plastic containers for hot food, as a promotional and preventive measure to reduce the risk of microplastic exposure.
