KEANEKARAGAMAN GENETIK IKAN TERANCAM PUNAH DALAM IUCN RED LIST DI MUARA SUNGAI MUSI DAN MUARA SUNGAI BANYUASIN
The Musi Estuary and Banyuasin Estuary are estuarine areas with high fish diversity and play an important role as habitats for aquatic organisms. Human activities, pollution, habitat degradation, and overfishing are suspected to reduce fish diversity, especially species categorized as threatened according to the IUCN Red List. This study aimed to analyze changes in the number of fish spcies and the level of fish community diversity using the environmental DNA (eDNA) metabarcoding method. Sampling was conducted in December 2025 at six observation station. Water quality parameters measured included temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen (DO), and pH . the results showed that 18 fish species with a total of 4,214 individuals were detected. The most abundant species were Trachinocephalus myops (46.78%), Engraulis japonicus (25.99%), and Gasterosteus aculeatus (12.46%). The diversity index in the Musi and Banyuasin Estuaries was 1.39 and 1.34,respectively, categorized as moderate. The evenness indeks was 0.77 and 0.47, while the dominance index was 0.31 and 0.34, both categorized as low.
