ANALISIS PERAN ORGANISASI HIMUKTA DALAM MENINGKATKAN SIKAP KEPEDULIAN SOSIAL MAHASISWA UNSRI

This study aims to determine the role of the Himukta organisation in enhancing the social awareness of Universitas Sriwijaya students through the work programmes implemented. This research uses a qualitative approach, with 3 main informants and 1 supporting informant obtained through purposive sampling. The data collection techniques used are documentation, interviews, and observation. The validity tests applied include credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. Based on the data analysis, it is concluded that the Himukta organisation plays a role in improving the social awareness of Universitas Sriwijaya students in terms of knowledge, empathy, motivation, and contribution. Knowledge can be observed in the members of the Himukta organisation through their social awareness, shown by their sensitivity and attentiveness towards others and the surrounding environment. Empathy can be seen in the members of the Himukta organisation as they are moved to immediately help when someone is affected by a disaster. Motivation can be seen in the Himukta members feeling happy, proud, and grateful when they are able to help others. Contribution can be observed in the members
