ANALISIS SIFAT FISIK DAN MEKANIK MORTAR DENGAN VARIASI PERSENTASE NANOSILIKA HASIL SINTESIS FLY ASH METODE PRESIPITASI SEBAGAI SUBSTITUSI SEMEN
The high consumption of cement in the construction industry has encouraged the utilization of nanosilica synthesized from fly ash through the precipitation method as a partial substitute for cement in mortar mixtures. This study used 5 cm × 5 cm × 5 cm cube mortar specimens with a water/cement ratio of 0.485 and nanosilica variations of 0%, 3%, 6%, 9%, and 12% by weight of cement. The tests included setting time, slump flow, specific gravity, and compressive strength at 28 days. The results showed that increasing nanosilica content accelerated the setting time, where the initial setting time decreased from 270 minutes to 105 minutes and the final setting time decreased from 495 minutes to 195 minutes. The slump flow value decreased from 214.75 mm to 101.5 mm and the specific gravity decreased from 2,119.6 kg/m³ to 2,033.7 kg/m³. The compressive strength increased at the 3% variation to 18.12 MPa, decreased at the 6% and 9% variations to 13.92 MPa and 15.62 MPa respectively, then increased again and reached the highest value at the 12% variation of 27.43 MPa.
