The internship program held at the South Sumatra Provincial Social Services Office aimed to provide students with practical experience in understanding the procedures for submitting and disbursing salaries for new civil servants (ASN), as well as the application of Government Accounting Standards (SAP) in local government agencies. Salary is one of the primary motivators for employment. Besides providing compensation for services rendered, it also plays a role in meeting basic living needs and enhancing employee motivation and performance in carrying out their duties. Therefore, the salary management process, especially for new employees, must be conducted accurately, orderly, and in accordance with applicable regulations. The focus of the observation included an analysis of the procedures for submitting and disbursing salaries for new civil servants, their compliance with regulations, and the challenges and solutions encountered during the recording and reporting process. Data collection methods included direct observation, documentation studies, and informal interviews with employees in the Finance Subdivision and the Planning, Evaluation, and Reporting Subdivision. The observations indicated that the process for submitting and disbursing salaries for new employees at the South Sumatra Provincial Social Services Office followed a systematic and structured administrative process.
