ANALISIS SPASIAL KEPADATAN SAMPAH SUNGAI DAN FAKTOR TEKNIS TERHADAP KERENTANAN GENANGAN DI PERMUKIMAN TEPIAN SUNGAI KECAMATAN SEBERANG ULU I
Riverbank settlements in Seberang Ulu I District, Palembang City, are highly susceptible to inundation due to a combination of low topography, limited drainage capacity, and solid waste accumulation in river bodies. This study aims to map the distribution of river waste and develop a GIS-based inundation potential map. The approach employed is the weighted overlay method incorporating six analytical variables: land elevation, land slope, distance from river, land use, river waste density, and drainage condition. River waste density was obtained by measuring the spatial distribution of river waste per unit area of the river surface. Field observations were conducted at 10 sampling points distributed across the study area, while the weighting of each variable was determined through expert judgement. The highest river waste distribution was recorded at point T10 (70.34 m²) and the lowest at T1 (3.57 m²). River waste density carried the highest weight (18%), followed by land elevation and distance from river, each at 17%. The inundation potential index ranged from 3.128 to 4.150, with 8 points classified as high and 2 points as moderate. Areas with high inundation potential were concentrated in low-elevation zones in close proximity to the Musi River. River waste distribution and drainage condition were identified as the dominant indicators in the inundation potential model, suggesting that the findings of this study can serve as a basis for prioritizing flood mitigation efforts in riverbank settlement areas prone to inundation.
