PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN CHAT GENERATIF PRETRAINED TRANSFORMER TERHADAP MOTIVASI BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK PADA MATA PELAJARAN EKONOMI DI SMA NEGERI 10 PALEMBANG

With the rapid development of digital technology, the use of artificial intelligence in education has become an interesting innovation to study. One technology widely used in the learning process is the Chat Generative Pretrained Transformer (ChatGPT), which has the potential to help students understand the material and increase their motivation to learn. Therefore, this study was conducted to examine and demonstrate the effect of ChatGPT on student motivation. The study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The population of this study consisted of all tenth-grade students of SMA Negeri 10 Palembang, with the research sample being class X.12, totaling 36 students, selected using a cluster random sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and observations. Hypothesis testing was conducted using a paired sample t-test, which yielded a result of tcount = 2,764 ≥ ttable = 1.690, indicating that H₀was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the use of Generative Pretrained Transformer Chat on students’ learning motivation in the economics subject at SMA Negeri 10 Palembang. It is recommended that educators use ChatGPT as a supporting learning medium, to increase desire and desire to learn.
