PENGARUH RASIO KECEPATAN SUPERFISIAL UDARA-AIR TERHADAP NILAI DISTRIBUSI TEKANAN PADA KEMIRINGAN PIPA 30° KE ATAS.

This study object to analyze the pressure distribution and to investigate the effect of the superficial velocity ratio of air and water on pressure distribution of air–water two-phase flow in a 1-inch plexiglass pipe inclined at 30° to the horizontal. Pressure measurements were conducted at five points along a 1-meter observation section using water flow rates of 5–18 gpm and air flow rates of 10–15 lpm. The results showed that the pressure decreased from point P1 to P5 due to gravitational effects and phase interactions. An increase in gas superficial velocity (Jg) tended to reduce pressure because of the increasing void fraction, while an increase in liquid superficial velocity (Jl) increased pressure due to the higher mixture density. In addition, a higher Jg/Jl ratio resulted in lower pressure values. Overall, variations in air and water superficial velocities significantly affected the pressure distribution of two-phase flow in a 30° inclined pipe.
