UJI PENGARUH PEMBERIAN PUPUK ZA TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL BAWANG MERAH (Allium ascalonicum L.) VARIETAS BAUJI SECARA TERAPUNG MENGGUNAKAN RAKIT BAMBU
This study aimed to evaluate the effect of various doses of ZA fertilizer on the growth and yield of shallot plants (Allium ascalonicum L.) of the Bauji variety cultivated using a floating system with bamboo rafts. The research was conducted at the reservoir of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya Utara, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra, from June to August 2025. The experimental design used was a single-factor Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with four levels of ZA fertilizer dosage, namely P0 = no fertilizer (control), P1 = 0.6 g/polybag (150 kg/ha), P2 = 1.0 g/polybag (250 kg/ha), and P3 = 1.6 g/polybag (400 kg/ha). Each treatment was replicated three times. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), and if significant differences were found, it was followed by the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test at the 5% level.The results showed that the application of ZA fertilizer had a significant effect on the number of leaves per plant at 1 and 2 weeks after planting (WAP), leaf greenness level at 6 and 8 WAP, and the number of tillers per clump at 2 WAP. In addition, ZA fertilizer had a highly significant effect on the number of tillers per clump at 3 WAP, but had no significant effect on plant height, chlorophyll content, fresh and dry bulb weight, biomass weight, and other observed parameters. The application of ZA fertilizer at a dose of 250 kg/ha (1.0 g/polybag) resulted in the best growth and yield response, as indicated by the highest average number of bulbs, reaching 5.78 bulbs per plant. These findings indicate that the application of ZA fertilizer at a moderate dose is able to support vegetative growth and increase shallot productivity under a floating cultivatio system, while higher doses do not result in a significant increase in yield.
