ANALISIS IMPLEMENTASI MODEL PjBL PADA BAHAN AJAR PENGELASAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN STEM
This study aims to describe students' STEM skills after the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in welding teaching materials at the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Sriwijaya. The study used a descriptive quantitative method with a total sampling technique involving 85 students taking the TIG-MIG Welding Practicum course. Data collection was carried out through observation using a STEM skills evaluation rubric which included basic information processing skills, advanced cognitive skills, technical skills, and social-emotional skills. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics in the form of mean, median, mode, standard deviation, and achievement percentage. The results showed that students' STEM skills were in the very high category with an average score of 61.67, median 62, mode 62, standard deviation 1.29, and an achievement percentage of 96.36%. The implementation of the PjBL model also created active, collaborative, and contextual learning, thereby supporting the optimal development of students' STEM skills. Keywords: Project Based Learning (PjBL), welding teaching materials, STEM skills, welding learning.
