AKTIVITAS HARIAN KERA EKOR PANJANG (Macaca fascicularis (Raffles, 1821)) DI KOMPLEKS MAKAM RATU BAGUS KUNING PALEMBANG DAN SUMBANGANNYA PADA PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI

This study aims to get information about the daily activity patterns of long�tailed macaques in Kompleks Makam Ratu Bagus Kuning. The study was conducted September 2025 to February 2026 during the rainy season. The method used was descriptive research with direct observation techniques using focal animal sampling for 24 hours and 30 minutes on several individual monkeys, including (1) α male, (6) adult males, (9) young males, (15) adult females, and (7) young females, with each individual observed twice. The data analysis was conducted descriptively.The research results show that the most frequently performed activities are resting (30%), followed by grooming (26%) and eating (19%), and are also influenced by variations in activity patterns based on time and sex ratio. Active activities mostly occur in the morning and afternoon, while resting dominates during the daytime, and playing activities are more often carried out by young individuals. The results of this study indicate that monkeys adapt their activities to urban environmental conditions and human interactions, and this can be used as biological teaching material in the form of a booklet.
