STRUKTUR DAN DINAMIKA POPULASI KERA EKOR PANJANG (MACACA FASCICULARIS, RAFFLES 1821) DI KOMPLEKS MAKAM RATU BAGUS KUNING DAN SUMBANGANNYA TERHADAP PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI SMA
The population of long-tailed macaques (Macaca fascicularis, Raffles 1821) in the Ratu Bagus Kuning Tomb Complex (KMRBK) Palembang is an urban population affected by environmental changes and interactions with human activities. Therefore, this study aims to determine the population structure and dynamics over a 25-year period. The study was conducted from December 2025 to February 2026 using a survey method with a concentration count technique to count individuals in the population and documentation to analyze population data from 2000 to 2025.. Data collected included developmental level, sex ratio, and morphology. The results showed that there were clear morphological variations based on developmental level and sex. The population structure consisted of 77 individuals consisting of α male (1), adult male (8), subadult male (14), male juvenile (20), adult female (23), and juvenile female (14). The sex ratio of adult males and adult females is approximately 1:2. The largest developmental level group was adult female (23). Population dynamics of long-tailed macaques increase in total population by 56,94% during the period 2000-2013, followed by a decrease of 31,86% during 201-2025. These changes are presumed to be associated with the availability of anthropogenic food sources provided by visitors, which has declined. The implications of this research result are used as a learning resource for Senior High School Biology.
