EFEK PENERAPAN BINAURAL BEATS TERHADAP DENTAL ANXIETY PADA PASIEN ANAK SELAMA TINDAKAN PERAWATAN GIGI DAN MULUT
Background: Dental anxiety is a major obstacle in pediatric dental care that can lead to treatment refusal and declined oral health. Binaural beats is an audio distraction technique with the potential to reduce anxiety through brainwave synchronization. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of binaural beats application on dental anxiety in pediatric patients aged 6-12 years at RSKGM South Sumatra Province. Methods: This is a pre-experimental study with a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 25 subjects selected through purposive sampling technique. Anxiety was measured using physiological parameters (blood pressure and pulse rate) and the Visual Facial Anxiety Scale (VFAS) psychological score before and after a 10-minute intervention. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. Results: There are significant decreases in mean systolic blood pressure (109.84 to 104.28 mmHg), diastolic blood pressure (75.00 to 69.92 mmHg), pulse rate (108.52 to 102.24 bpm), and VFAS score (3.36 to 1.36) with p-value of 0.000 (p
