This study is titled “The Lives of Rubber Farmers in the Transmigration Community of Berlian Jaya Village, Tungkal Jaya Subdistrict, Musi Banyuasin Regency, 1982–2022.” This study aims to trace the history of the formation of Berlian Jaya Village, analyze the socio-economic lives of rubber farmers in the transmigration community during the period 1982–2022, and identify the factors influencing the socio-economic lives of this community. This study employs a historical methodology encompassing the stages of heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The approaches utilized are anthropology, sociology, and economics. Data were collected through documentary studies, village archives, literature, and interviews with village officials and community members. The findings reveal that Berlian Jaya Village was established in 1982 as a transmigration preparation village, previously an area of forest. A total of 456 migrant households, the majority of whom came from Java, were settled there and developed rubber plantations as their primary livelihood. Over the course of 40 years, the socio-economic lives of rubber farmers have evolved, marked by improved welfare, infrastructure development, and access to education. However, the community’s economic life has also been influenced by fluctuations in rubber prices, infrastructure conditions, government policies, and natural factors. Keywords: Rubber Farmers, Transmigrant Communities, Berlian Jaya Village.
