PENGARUH PERAN KOPERASI TERHADAP STABILITAS EKONOMI PETANI KARET DI DESA NUSA JAYA KECAMATAN BELITANG III
The agricultural sector is one of the key pillars of Indonesia’s economy, as it plays an important role in absorbing labor and contributing to Gross Domestic Product (GDP). One strategic subsector is rubber plantations, which serve as a primary source of livelihood for rural communities. However, fluctuations in rubber prices often lead to unstable farmer incomes, affecting their economic stability. In this context, cooperatives play an important role in assisting farmers by providing access to capital and financial services to support their farming activities. This study aims to determine the effect of the role of cooperatives on the economic stability of rubber farmers in Nusa Jaya Village, Belitang III District. This research employs a descriptive quantitative method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to cooperative members, and the data were analyzed using simple linear regression, ttest, and coefficient of determination to measure the relationship between variables. The results show that there is a significant effect between the role of cooperatives and the economic stability of rubber farmers. The coefficient of determination value of 20.96% indicates that the role of cooperatives contributes to farmers’ economic stability, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors. The t-test result (6.048 > 1.677) supports this finding. Interview results also show that the Maju Jaya Cooperative helps farmers access capital, improve productivity, and make better financial decisions. Thus, cooperatives play an important role in maintaining farmers’ household economic stability amid rubber price fluctuations.
