RANCANG BANGUN SISTEM PEMILAHAN LIMBAH MEDIS BASAH DAN KERING BERBASIS ESP32 DENGAN INTEGRASI SENSOR BERAT
Medical waste generated from operating rooms has the potential to pose risks to health and the environment if not properly managed. One of the important stages in medical waste management is the waste sorting process based on its characteristics. However, the sorting process is still largely carried out manually, which risks causing sorting errors and increasing direct contact with infectious waste. This study aims to design and develop a wet and dry medical waste sorting system based on ESP32 with weight sensor integration and to test the system's performance in detecting, measuring weight, and sorting waste automatically. The system uses ESP32 as the main controller, FC51 infrared sensor as an object detector, FC-37 rain sensor as a moisture detector, and load cell sensor as a waste weight measuring device. The results showed that the system was able to detect the presence of waste, measure waste weight, and classify waste into wet and dry categories automatically. All components work in an integrated manner so that the waste sorting process can be carried out according to predetermined categories. Thus, the developed system can help improve the effectiveness of medical waste management and reduce the risk of human error in the waste sorting process.
