Medical waste is a type of waste that requires special handling because it can affect health and the environment if not properly managed. One important stage in managing medical waste is sorting it by type. However, sorting, which is still done manually, can be prone to errors in categorising waste. Therefore, a monitoring system for sorting wet, dry, and metal medical waste based on the Internet of Things (IoT) using a web server has been designed to assist the medical waste monitoring process. This system uses the ESP32 as the main controller, connected to several sensors to detect the type and weight of medical waste. Sensor reading data is transmitted via a WiFi network using the HTTP POST method to a Laravel web server. The developed website consists of a monitoring dashboard, a history page, an admin login page, and an admin dashboard. Through the website, users can monitor sorting data, view monitoring graphs, data history, and equipment conditions through the live camera feature. In addition, the admin can manage monitoring data and perform data backups. This system is expected to assist in monitoring and managing medical waste more easily, in a structured manner and efficiently.
