ANALISIS PERBANDINGAN KINERJA GENERATOR MAGNET FLUKS AKSIAL DAN RADIAL PADA SISTEM PEMBANGKIT LISTRIK RENAGA BAYU (PLTB) SKALA KECIL
This study aims to compare the performance of single-phase radial flux permanent magnet generators and axial flux permanent magnet generators based on data and findings from previously published studies. The research employed a library research method with a descriptive-comparative approach. Data were collected from scientific journals, books, articles, and relevant previous studies discussing the characteristics and performance of both generator types. The analysis focused on comparing output voltage, output current, output power, internal resistance, and power losses. The results indicate that the radial flux permanent magnet generator performs better than the axial flux permanent magnet generator. Under no-load conditions, the radial flux generator produced an average voltage of 8.272 V and an average current of 0.253 A, while the axial flux generator produced an average voltage of 7.248 V and an average current of 0.143 A. Under a 20-Watt load condition, the radial flux generator generated an output power of 27.23 Watts, whereas the axial flux generator generated 20.30 Watts. Furthermore, the internal resistance of the radial flux generator was 0.492 Ω, lower than that of the axial flux generator at 0.586 Ω. These findings demonstrate that the radial flux generator offers better energy conversion capability, lower power losses, and more stable voltage performance than the axial flux generator.
