FAUNA EKSOTIK DI TAMAN WISATA ALAM GREEN PARADISE PAGAR ALAM DAN SUMBANGANNYA PADA PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI SMA
Research on the diversity of exotic fauna is essential to obtain baseline data on the presence of species in a given area, particularly those not yet scientifically documented. The Green Paradise Pagar Alam Nature Tourism Park (TWA) has the potential to host a variety of fauna, but scientific information remains limited; therefore, this study aims to identify the diversity of exotic fauna and explore their use as a biology learning resource in high schools. The study employed a descriptive method using a field survey approach through exploratory techniques. The data were collected from direct field observations of wildlife through observation, documentation, and species identification based on morphological characteristics. The results revealed 34 exotic fauna species classified into five classes: fish 14,7%, amphibians 5,9%, reptiles 11,8%, birds 55,9%, and mammals 11,8%, with nonnative fauna comprising 67.65% of the total, while native fauna accounted for only 32.35%. Most of the fauna found were captive animals, so their presence was influenced by area management. These research results provide an overview of the variety of exotic fauna species in the Green Paradise Pagar Alam Wildlife Reserve and have the potential to be utilized as a contextual learning resource for high school biodiversity curriculum.
