EFEK ANALGESIK EKSTRAK BUAH KERSEN (Mungitingia calabura L.) PADA MENCIT JANTAN GALUR SUB SWISS WEBSTER DAN SUMBANGANNYA SEBAGAI LKPD PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI SMA
Cherry fruit (Muntingia calabura) contains bioactive compounds with potential analgesic properties. This study aimed to investigate the analgesic effects of cherry fruit ethanol extract and determine the most effective dose in mice (Mus musculus). The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 25 male mice divided into five groups: negative control (Tween 80), kersen fruit ethanol extract at doses of 50, 100, and 200 mg/kg body weight, and positive control with mefenamic acid at 500 mg/kg body weight. Treatments were administered orally, and pain was induced using 1% acetic acid via intraperitoneal injection. Analgesic effects were assessed based on the number of writhing movements during a 1-hour observation period. Data analysis employed ANOVA and Duncan’s multiple range test. The results showed that cherry fruit ethanol extract had a significant analgesic effect (P < 0.05), with a dose of 200 mg/kg BW being the most effective and approaching the positive control. The results of this study are expected to be useful as supplementary learning material for high school biology phase F, grade 12, in the nervous system curriculum.
