PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA VIDEO PEMBELAJARAN DENGAN PENDEKATAN STEAM TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PADA SISWA KELAS VI
This research aims to evaluate students' critical thinking skills before and after the learning process and to determine the effect of integrating instructional video media into the STEAM approach for sixth-grade elementary school students. A quantitative approach was employed, specifically a quasi-experimental design featuring a non-equivalent control group. The study involved two groups: an experimental class (class VI D) with 32 students and a control class (class VI C) with 34 students. Data were gathered through pre-test and post-test assessments. For data analysis, descriptive statistics and an independent sample t-test were applied, with a significance level of 0.05. The t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000 (sig. < 0.05), resulting in the rejection of H₀ and the acceptance of H₁. These findings indicate that implementing instructional videos using a STEAM approach can enhance sixth-grade students’ critical thinking skills.
