KAJIAN STRUKTUR ANATOMI BATANG DAN DAUN TUMBUHAN PERDU DI CAGAR BUDAYA BUKIT SIGUNTANG DAN PEMANFAATANNYA PADA PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI SMA

Nadia, Anastasya - Personal Name;

This study examines the anatomical structure of stems and leaves in ten species of shrub plants in the Cagar Budaya Bukit Siguntang. The research was carried out in September-December 2025 at the Biology Education Lab, UNSRI. The research used qualitative descriptive methods. Stem anatomy observations included epidermal layers, cell shape and size; trichome type; collenchyma location, type and cell size; parenchyma cell shape and size; sclerenchyma cell type and size; vascular bundle type; pith cell shape. Leaf anatomy focused on epidermal tissue shape and size; stomata type, size, and distribution; and trichome type. The results found that stem tissue were composed of one to two epidermal layers, with irregular, polygonal, and jigsaw-puzzle cell shapes. Collenchyma was subepidermal, with lamellar and annular types. Cortical Parenchyma cells were isodiametric. Sclerenchyma were identified as primary floem fibers and sclereid in the cortex. Vascular bonds were open collateral and bicollateral. The shape of pith cells were polyhedral and isodiametric. In the epidermal tissue of the leaves, the cell shapes were irregular, polygonal, and jigsaw-puzzle, with cell margins were straight, sinuous, to slightly wavy. Stomata types were parasitic and anomocytic, with hyposomatic and amphistomatic distribution. Trichome types were found with non-glandular multicellular and unicellular. The size of each cell composing the stem and leaf epidermis, including their derivatives, varied. The results of the research can be used in the form of booklet for high school Biology as learning material of plant tissues and function.
