PERBANDINGAN FUZZY TIME SERIES CHENG DAN LEE PADA PREDIKSI PENGUNJUNG WISATA DI KAMPOENG RADJA JAMBI
Fluctutations in daily visitor numbers at Kampung Radja Jambi present challanges for optimal operation planning. This study aims to compare the performance of the Fuzzy Time Series (FTS) Cheng and FTS Lee methods in forecasting daily visitor number using secondary data from Januari 1, 2024 to December 31, 2025. After preprocessing, 648 observations were analyzed using FTS approach, and forecasting accuracy was evaluated using Mean Absolute Error (MAE) and Symmetric Mean Absolute Percentage Error (SMAPE) across various fuzzy interval configuration. The result indicate that the FTS Cheng and FTS Lee methods are both optimal at 93 intervals, with identtical SMAPE and MAE values of 108.96% and 18.94, respectively. However, the two methods exhibit different responses to extreme data fluctuation, meaning there is no significant difference in overall performance while emphasizing the importance of selecting the appopriate number of fuzzy intervals for model accuracy.
