EVALUASI DIMENSI SUMP DAN KAPASITAS POMPA PADA SISTEM PENYALIRAN TAMBANG TERBUKA DI PIT 3 PT. DIZAMATRA POWERINDO, LAHAT, SUMATERA SELATAN
The application of the strip mine method at PT Dizamatra Powerindo altered the topography into a massive basin that functions as a catchment area, causing rainwater to flow directly and accumulate in the mine opening area. The DP pit 3 area is currently a void (mine lake) filled with water and mud, which is planned to be re-mined. The research method uses a quantitative approach through direct field observation, focusing on evaluating the sump dimensions and pumping system. The results of rainfall analysis using the Gumbel method obtained a planned rainfall of 779.07 mm/month or 25.13 mm/day, and a rainfall intensity of 2.71 mm/hour with a 10-year rainfall return period. A catchment area of 55 Ha produces a runoff discharge of 1,340.58 m³/hour or 7,744.56 m³/day. The measured average groundwater discharge is 26.87 m³/hour or 644.90 m³/day, so the total water inflow reaches 8,389.46 m³/day. The actual sump condition with a volume of 55,871.47 m³ has an irregular shape due to damage and its base is covered by mud deposits. The use of 1 unit of Multiflo 420EX pump produces an actual outflow of 647.65 m³/hour, which is currently applied merely to control the inundation water level. Based on calculations and field conditions, the ideal sump plan is designed according to the technical guidelines of Kepmen ESDM No. 1827 K/30/MEM/2018. The recommended sump dimensions are designed with a depth of 5 meters, resulting in a storage volume of 36,850.00 m³. The pumping plan shows a pump ratio of 1.24, indicating that this pumping system is quite effective in balancing the water inflow rate. Thus, the planned re-mining activities can be carried out safely.
