ANALISIS SPASIAL TIMBULAN SAMPAH RUMAH TANGGA DAN PENILAIAN KINERJA PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH DI KAWASAN PERMUKIMAN TEPIAN SUNGAI KECAMATAN ILIR TIMUR II
Riverside residential areas in Ilir Timur II District, Palembang City, are characterized by high population density and face challenges related to household solid waste generation, limited waste management infrastructure, and low community participation. This study analyzes the spatial distribution of household solid waste generation and evaluates waste management performance using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and the Waste Management Performance Index (IKPS). Waste generation was measured based on Indonesian National Standards (SNI), while performance evaluation was conducted using an expert judgment approach. The results show that the waste generation rate is 0.46 kg/person/day, with spatial patterns influenced by settlement density and accessibility to waste management services. The IKPS score of 59.53% falls within the moderate category, indicating that waste management performance remains suboptimal. Key issues include limited facilities, low collection frequency, and inadequate waste handling practices at the source. The integration of spatial analysis and performance evaluation provides a basis for identifying priority areas and improving the effectiveness and sustainability of waste management planning.
