PERSEPSI SISWA TERHADAP PELAKSANAAN LAYANAN BIMBINGAN DAN KONSELING DI SMP NEGERI 2 PRABUMULIH

Perception is a crucial process in shaping an individual’s understanding, evaluation, and response to an object, event, or experience. Perception can be measured through three aspects: cognitive, affective, and conative. This study aims to determine the perceptions of students at SMP Negeri 2 Prabumulih regarding the implementation of Guidance and Counseling services. The research design is a descriptive quantitative study using a Likert scale. This study employed Proportional Stratified Random Sampling, resulting in a sample size of 192 students. The results indicate that, overall, students’ perceptions fall into the moderate category (69%), the high category (16%), and the low category (15%). Based on the aspects of the research results, they also fell into the moderate category with a percentage of 73%, the affective category at 72%, and the conative category at 67%. It can be concluded that students’ perceptions of the implementation of Guidance and Counseling services are fairly good, but still need to be improved so that the services can be utilized more optimally.
