ANALISIS PERBANDINGAN EFEKTIVITAS CAMPURAN SERAT BATANG PISANG DAN AMPAS TEBU SEBAGAI PENDINGIN PASIF PADA PANEL SURYA MONOCRYSTALLINE 50 WP DENGAN VARIASI KOMPOSISI

Wijayanti, Rila Yusi - Personal Name;

The efficiency of solar panels is greatly influenced by the amount of solar radiation absorbed, but their performance often declines due to rising surface temperatures. As a solution, the use of organic materials as passive coolants holds great potential for maintaining temperature stability. Banana stems and sugarcane bagasse were selected for their chemical properties that support thermal management. The efficiency improvement in this system is supported by the composition of banana stem fibers, which contain 59.15% cellulose, 14,42% hemicellulose, and 10.70% lignin, as well as sugarcane bagasse, which contains 52.42% cellulose, 25.8% hemicellulose, and 21.69% lignin. The research results show that the use of this passive cooling system successfully improves the efficiency of solar panels compared to conditions without cooling. Based on test data, panels without cooling achived an average efficiency of 12.52%. Meanwhile, panels using a cooling mixture od banana stem fibers and sugarcane bagasse showed a significant improvement, with a 75:25 composition recording the highest efficiency of 17,17% and 50:50 composition at 15,41%. This proves that the utulization of these natural fiber wastes is effective in reducing surface temperature while naturally improving the efficiency of solar panels.
