ANALISIS KORELASI KUAT GESER TERHADAP SIFAT FISIK DAN NILAI N-SPT PADA TANAH LEMPUNG DI WILAYAH OGAN ILIR

Valencio, Vincent - Personal Name;

Clay soil is a type of soil with very fine grains that have high plasticity and a high water absorption capacity. The shear strength of cohesive soil can be determined through laboratory tests, such as triaxial tests. However, laboratory testing also has drawbacks, such as high costs and lengthy testing times. Regression analysis can be used to establish the relationship between soil shear strength and other soil parameters. In this study, correlation and regression analyses were conducted on secondary data obtained from various projects previously done in the Ogan Ilir area. Following the analysis, regression models were obtained that describe the relationships among soil parameters. The results of the secondary data analysis were then compared with the coefficient of determination (R²) values from previous studies. The results of the secondary data analysis were also compared with the primary data obtained. From the analysis, it was found that the relationships among the physical properties of clay soil were strong, with R² values above 0.8. The strongest correlation among physical properties was found between dry bulk density (γd) and porosity (e), with a very high R² of 0.9945 and a low deviation from the primary data of 0.101. A very strong correlation with an R² above 0.9 was observed between physical and mechanical properties. The best relationship between physical and mechanical properties is found between the liquid index (LI) and unconfined compressive strength (qu), which have the highest R² value of 0.9525. It was also found that the relationship between the liquid index (LI) and shear strength (τ) has the smallest deviation from the primary data with deviation of 0.216 kg/cm². Relationships between N-SPT parameters also yielded R² values above 0.9, with the best relationship being between N60 and shear strength (τ), which had an R² value of 0.9371.
