ANALISIS FAKTOR PENYEBAB PERNIKAHAN DINI DI DESA BERUGE DARAT KABUPATEN PENUKAL ABAB LEMATANG ILIR

This study aims to analyze and describe the factors causing early marriage in Beruge Darat Village, Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The sample consists of 11 respondents, including 7 individuals who experienced early marriage and 4 parents of those individuals. Data collection methods include interviews, observation, and documentation, with the selection of informants carried out through purposive sampling. The results of the study indicate that there are three main factors influencing the occurrence of early marriage, namely cultural factors, economic factors, and premarital pregnancy. Cultural factors are influenced by community norms that normalize early marriage as well as low levels of education. Economic factors are related to limited family income, with most families working as rubber farmers, oil palm farmers, and agricultural laborers. Meanwhile, premarital pregnancy is influenced by free social interactions and easy access to mass media and information media. These three factors are interrelated and make early marriage a perceived solution to the problems faced.
