KEBERLANJUTAN USAHATANI KARET (Hevea brasiliensis) DITINJAU DARI POLA TANAM DAN PENGGUNAAN INPUT AGROKIMIA DI DESA AIR PEDARA
The high dependence of farmers on rubber farming as the main source of income necessitated a study of the cultivation practices applied. Without sustainability evaluation, uncontrolled agrochemical use and improper cropping patterns could threaten the productivity of rubber land in the long term. This study aimed to determine (1) whether rubber farming in Air Pedara Village had achieved sustainability in terms of cropping patterns and agrochemical input use, and (2) what factors influenced agrochemical input use in rubber farming in Air Pedara Village. This study was conducted in Air Pedara Village in December 2025. The research method used was a survey method, and data were collected through interviews assisted by questionnaires. Data were processed using descriptive analysis for cropping pattern sustainability, while rubber farming sustainability in terms of agrochemical input use was assessed using the Suitability Index based on the Suitability Ratio principle, and Multiple Linear Regression analysis using SPSS was employed to determine the factors influencing agrochemical input use. The ecological sustainability of rubber farming in terms of cropping patterns was categorized as sustainable, indicated by 100% of farmers applying crop diversification patterns. Similarly, sustainability in terms of agrochemical input use was also categorized as sustainable, with a fertilizer suitability index of 70.29% and herbicide of 87.00%, both of which were below 100%. The factors that partially influenced fertilizer use in rubber farming in Air Pedara Village were land area, length of formal education, plant age, and production. Meanwhile, the factors that influenced herbicide use were land area, length of formal education, length of farming experience, and plant age.
