RANCANG BANGUN PROTOTIPE SISTEM PLTS OFF-GRID MONOCRYSTALLINE 50 WP UNTUK VENTILASI DAN PENERANGAN PETERNAKAN AYAM CLOSED HOUSE TAHAP GROWER
The demand for electrical energy in modern poultry farming systems, particularly in closed-house poultry houses, continues to increase to support ventilation and lighting systems in order to maintain optimal environmental conditions. One potential solution is the utilization of a Solar Power System (SPS) based on photovoltaic technology. This study aims to design and evaluate the performance of an off-grid solar power system applied to a prototype of a closed-house poultry house. The system consists of a 50 Wp monocrystalline solar panel, wattmeter, solar charge controller, and a 12 V 9 Ah VRLA battery supplying electrical loads of two DC exhaust fans and one LED lamp with a total power of 3.5 W. The system was tested for 14 days by measuring nine parameters, including solar radiation intensity, panel temperature, panel voltage and current, input and output power, panel efficiency, battery voltage, and poultry house temperature. The results show that the average panel efficiency reached 13.32%, while the battery energy capacity of 108 Wh was able to supply approximately 42 Wh of energy during nighttime operation, indicating that the system can operate reliably.
