PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMAHAMAN MEMBACA CERITA RAKYAT SUMATERA SELATAN BERBASIS FLIPHTML5
This study aims to: (1) describe the needs analysis of lecturers and students toward reading comprehension media for South Sumatra folklore assisted by FlipHTML5, (2) produce a design of reading comprehension media for South Sumatra folklore based on FlipHTML5 according to the needs analysis results, (3) explain the results of expert validation of the developed media, and (4) determine the results of the beta testing of the FlipHTML5-based reading comprehension media through field trials with students. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the Alessi & Trollip (2001) development model, which consists of planning, design, and development stages. The media was developed based on the needs analysis of lecturers and students in the Traditional Malay Palembang Theater course. The development process began with designing the learning concept, creating flowcharts and storyboards, preparing South Sumatra folklore materials, and developing interactive FlipHTML5-based media. The product was then evaluated through expert validation and revised based on suggestions provided. The results of expert validation showed that the material aspect obtained a score of 92%, the media aspect 90%, and the language aspect 95%, all categorized as “very feasible.” The revised product was then tested on students. Based on the beta test results, the media obtained a percentage score of 95.83%, indicating that it is “very feasible.” Keywords: development, learning media, FlipHTML5, reading comprehension, folklore
