PENGEMBANGAN LKPD BERBASIS BUDAYA LOKAL PADA PEMBELAJARAN MENULIS CERPEN UNTUK SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 46 PALEMBANG
This study aims to develop a Student Worksheet (LKPD) for writing short stories based on Palembang local culture for eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 46 Palembang. This research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method by adapting the development models of Jolly and Bolitho as well as Dick, Carey, and Carey, which include the stages of needs identification, needs exploration, material production, expert validation, and product revision. The subjects of this study consisted of eighth-grade students and Indonesian language teachers at SMP Negeri 46 Palembang. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and interviews. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods based on the Likert scale. The results of the study indicate that students experience difficulties in generating ideas, organizing plot structures, and developing characters in writing short stories. Therefore, they require instructional materials that are systematic and contextual. The developed LKPD contains learning materials, examples of short stories based on local culture, and step-by-step writing activities. The validation results show that the developed LKPD falls into the "very valid" category, with a feasibility percentage of 94% from material experts, 96% from language experts, and 94% from media experts. Therefore, the LKPD for writing short stories based on Palembang local culture is considered appropriate for use as a teaching material in Indonesian language learning.
