PERENCANAAN DAN PERANCANGAN WELLNESS RETREAT RESORT DI PANTAI MUARO JENGGALU BENGKULU
The increasing prevalence of mental health disorders in Indonesia, along with the limited availability of medical services, has created a need for alternative healing facilities that are preventive and holistic. At the same time, the growth of wellness tourism reflects a rising public interest in health-based travel experiences. Bengkulu itself has significant coastal potential, yet it still lacks specialized wellness-based facilities. Therefore, the design of a Wellness Retreat Resort on Bengkulu Beach aims to create a healing environment through the integration of architecture with the coastal landscape in accordance with site regulations. The design issue focuses on creating a healing experience through spatial organization, circulation, and natural abiotic elements. The approach applied is healing architecture based on healing by nature, resulting in a resort area with public-to-private zoning, a massing layout integrated with the landscape, structures adaptive to coastal soil conditions, and sustainable utilities through environmentally friendly management of energy, water, and waste.
