IMPLEMENTASI RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS CONDUCT OLEH BELANDA: STUDI KASUS PT MULTI BINTANG INDONESIA TBK (PART OF THE HEINEKEN COMPANY)
Sustainability in environmental aspects has become a crucial issue that requires more attention due to the worsening environmental conditions and climate change. This challenge encourages multinational companies as one of the actors in international relations to play an active role in efforts to maintain environmental sustainability, including in developing countries such as Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) by the Netherlands, and measure its impact through a Dutch multinational company, namely PT Multi Bintang Indonesia Tbk (part of the HEINEKEN Company). This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. The analytical framework used is the theory of international regime implementation by S. Andresen which analyzes three main dimensions, namely output, outcome, and impact. Data were obtained through interviews with related parties and literature studies. The results of the study indicate that in the output dimension, the Netherlands has a strong commitment to transforming RBC into regulations. In the outcome dimension, the Netherlands formed the NCP and implemented the IMVO program to support the promotion of RBC. In the impact dimension, the company demonstrated measurable environmental achievements in the environmental and social fields. This study concludes that the implementation of RBC has been effective in transforming global norms into sustainable business practices.
