ANALISIS TEMPORAL IKLIM DAN SPASIAL NON-IKLIM TERHADAP KEJADIAN TUBERKULOSIS PARU PADA ANAK DI KOTA PALEMBANG TAHUN 2020-2025

Faza, Bayu Satria Al - Personal Name;

Pulmonary Tuberculosis (TB) in children remains a serious public health problem, particularly in urban areas with high population density such as Palembang City. TB incidence is influenced not only by individual factors but also by environmental factors, including climatic and non-climatic elements. This study aimed to analyze the temporal and spatial patterns of childhood pulmonary tuberculosis in Palembang City and to examine the association between climatic and non-climatic factors and TB incidence during the period 2020–2025. This research employed an ecological study design with temporal and spatial analysis approaches. Data were obtained from the Tuberculosis Information System (SITB), Meteorological Agency (BMKG), Statistics Indonesia (BPS), and the Palembang City Health Office. Temporal analysis was conducted using correlation tests with a lag time approach, while spatial analysis was performed using an overlay method in GIS. The results showed fluctuations in childhood pulmonary TB cases associated with variations in climatic factors. Bivariate analysis indicated that wind speed was significantly associated with childhood TB incidence at lag 2 and lag 3, with the strongest statistically significant correlation observed at lag 3 (p = 0.017; r = −0.270). Meanwhile, temperature, humidity, rainfall, and duration of sunshine exposure were identified as findings that theoretically may influence TB dynamics but did not show statistically significant associations across the analyzed lag periods. Spatially, population density and childhood TB treatment success rate illustrated the distribution pattern of TB cases in Palembang City, where districts with high population density and lower treatment success rates tended to have higher TB incidence rates and formed high-risk hotspot areas. This study concludes that both climatic and non-climatic factors contribute to shaping the spatial-temporal pattern of childhood pulmonary tuberculosis in Palembang City..
