PREPARASI DAN KARAKTERISASI ELEKTRODA TiO2–Fe2O3 DENGAN PENGEMBAN KARBON DAN POLIANILIN SERTA UJI KINERJANYA TERHADAP ANALISIS ELEKTROKIMIA PARASETAMOL
This study was conducted to develop a TiO2–Fe2O3-based electrode supported with carbon and a conductive polymer and to evaluate its performance in the electrochemical detection of paracetamol. The electrode was fabricated using a brush-coating method on a nickel mesh plate with a composition consisting of TiO2–Fe2O3, carbon materials (Vulcan and Binchotan), and a conductive polymer (polyaniline). The electrochemical performance of the electrode was evaluated using Cyclic Voltammetry (CV) and Linear Sweep Voltammetry (LSV) with paracetamol solution in Na2SO4 as the supporting electrolyte. In addition, the electrode was characterized to analyze its crystal structure and surface morphology using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The XRD results showed characteristic peaks of TiO2 at 2θ = 25°; 27°; 48°; and 55-56°, while the characteristic peaks of Fe2O3 appeared at 2θ = 24°; 33°; 54-57°; and 62- 63°, which are consistent with the JCPDS data. SEM analysis revealed that the oxide particles were dispersed on the carbon matrix with different levels of agglomeration in each sample. The CV measurements showed a current response dominated by oxidation peaks, with the TiO2–Fe2O3/Vulcan–PANI electrode exhibiting the best linear stability, indicated by the highest regression value (R² = 0.9241). Meanwhile, the LSV results also showed that the widest linear region of current response with increasing paracetamol concentration in the non-faradaic region was observed for the TiO2–Fe2O3/Vulcan–PANI electrode, ranging from approximately −0.04 to 0.13 V. Based on these results, the TiO2–Fe2O3/Vulcan– PANI electrode demonstrated the best performance for paracetamol detection.
