ANALISIS PERFORMA NETWORK LOAD BALANCER DI PLATFORM CLOUD COMPUTING MENGGUNAKAN METODE TOPSIS (TECHNIQUE FOR ORDER PREFERENCE BY SIMILARITY TO IDEAL SOLUTION)
This study analyzes the performance of a Network Load Balancer (NLB) on cloud computing platforms, namely Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure, using the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method. The evaluation was conducted on a Layer 4 Network Load Balancer implementing the Round Robin algorithm with performance parameters including latency, throughput, CPU utilization, memory utilization, and error rate. Data were collected through ApacheBench load testing and native monitoring services provided by each platform. The results show that Google Cloud Platform achieved better latency and throughput performance, while Microsoft Azure demonstrated lower CPU utilization. TOPSIS analysis produced preference values of 0.557 for Microsoft Azure and 0.443 for Google Cloud Platform. Based on the criteria weighting configuration applied in this study, Microsoft Azure was ranked as the best overall alternative. The findings indicate that TOPSIS provides a comprehensive approach for evaluating Network Load Balancer performance based on multiple criteria.
