STUDI APLIKASI SISTEM BUDIDAYA TANAMAN PADI BERAS HITAM AKSESI FEBRY-1, FEBRY-5, DAN REGITA-3 MENGGUNAKAN POT TERBUAT DARI GALON BEKAS AIR MINERAL
Black rice is a type of food crop that currently has high economic value and contains many nutrients, such uas, vitamin B2, folic acid, mineral sources of iron, zinc, selenium, calcium, and phosphorus. Black rice also contains a number of antioxidant compounds, protein, and the highest dietary fiber of all types of rice. This study aims to evaluate the growth and production of several black rice accessions in a pot cultivation system. This study was conducted in a house yard at Lunjuk Jaya area, Palembang, from July to November 2025. This study was conducted by using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of 3 black rice accessions, repeated 3 times, to make 9 experimental units each consisted of 5 pots. Resulted data were analyzed by using the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and continued with the Least Significant Difference Test (LSD) at a significance level of 5%. The results showed significant differences in plant height at 8, 15, 22, 29, and 50 days after planting and in the total number of tillers at 8, 15, 29, 36, and 43 days after planting. Most other observation variables did not show significant differences. The researce, in general, showed that the rice plant accessions can grow and develop well. The average plant height reached 139,93-143,46 cm, the number of productive tillers reached 67,8-71.8 stems, begins to flower at 55-56 days, and harvested at 101-103 days, with an average dry grain of 79,21-95,7 g per pot. Furthermore, the Febry-1 accession showed better growth with an average plant height at 99 days reaching 143.46 cm, and number of tillers about 76 tillers per pot. This research proves that black rice can be cultivated using pots made from used mineral water gallons with potential production about 6.5-7.90 ton dry grain per ha and harvest index of 0.4-0.5.
