DETERMINAN PEMANFAATAN LAYANAN KESEHATAN MENTAL BAGI PESERTA JKN DENGAN SKIZOFRENIA MENGGUNAKAN DATA SAMPEL BPJS KESEHATAN TAHUN 2024

Schizophrenia is one of the mental disorders with the highest burden within the National Health Insurance (JKN) system, with approximately 7.5 million cases and costs reaching IDR 3.5 trillion. However, nearly 40% of people with schizophrenia have not utilized healthcare facilities, indicating a gap between the need for and utilization of services. This study aimed to analyze the determinants of mental health service utilization among JKN participants with schizophrenia using the 2024 BPJS Kesehatan Sample Data. This study employed a cross-sectional design involving 369,405 participants. The data were analyzed using univariate analysis, bivariate analysis with the chi-square test, and multivariate analysis using logistic regression based on Andersen’s behavioral model. The results showed that service utilization was dominated by advanced outpatient services (96.16%), while 3.84% of participants utilized advanced inpatient services.
