ANALISIS KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS KELOMPOK MAHASISWA PADA PRAKTIKUM KIMIA ANORGANIK I MATERI ANALISIS KADAR KALSIUM OKSALAT
This study aims to analyze the science process skills of student groups in the Inorganic Chemistry I practicum on the topic of calcium oxalate content analysis. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method, with sampling carried out using purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study consists of fifth-semester students of the Chemistry Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Sriwijaya, who participated in the Inorganic Chemistry I practicum. This study is based on observations of seven aspects of science process skills. The results showed that science process skills in the very high category include observing (100%), measuring (100%), and classifying (96%), while aspects in the high category include concluding (75%), predicting (72%), experimenting (71%), and communicating (68%). The high achievement in observing, measuring, and classifying indicates that students have good skills in practicum activities, such as identifying changes in the titration process, especially solution color changes, recognizing characteristics and differences of observed objects, determining the titration endpoint accurately, using measuring instruments and calculating calcium oxalate levels accurately, and grouping and organizing observational data systematically. In addition, the aspects of concluding, predicting, experimenting, and communicating are in the high category, indicating that students are able to formulate conclusions, use theoretical concepts to estimate experimental results, follow procedures correctly, and communicate practicum results in written and systematic forms in practicum reports. The results show that the more complex the science process skills assessed, the lower the level of achievement tends to be
