PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN INTERAKTIF GENIALLY UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS PADA MATERI JARING-JARING BANGUN RUANG SISWA KELAS V
This study aimed to develop an interactive learning medium using Genially to improve students' mathematical communication skills. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The study involved 24 fifth-grade students from Class 5C at SDN 11 Indralaya. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. Research instruments included validation sheets for media and material experts, student and teacher response questionnaires, and pretest and posttest questions assessing students' mathematical communication skills. The findings revealed that: (1) the Genially-based interactive learning medium was categorized as highly valid, with media experts giving a 95% validation score and material experts a 93.75%, yielding an average validity score of 94.44%; (2) student responses indicated that the medium was highly practical, with an average score of 86.35%, based on small-group trials (87.5%) and field trials (86.12%); and (3) the developed medium was effective in strengthening students' mathematical communication skills, as evidenced by an increase in the average score from 34.75 in the pretest to 84.50 in the posttest, with an N-Gain score of 0.768, classified as high. Improvements were also observed across all parameters of mathematical communication skills. In conclusion, the Genially-based interactive learning medium on nets of solid figures fulfills the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness for improving the mathematical communication skills of fifth-grade elementary school students.
