HUBUNGAN ANTARA SELF COMPASSION DAN SELF ESTEEM PADA PEREMPUAN KORBAN KEKERASAN DALAM PACARAN
This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between self compassion and self esteem among women victims of dating violence. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a relationship between self compassion and self esteem. The population of this study consisted of women who have experienced dating violence. A total of 167 participants were involved in the study, with an additional 50 participants for the trial (try out), selected using an incidental sampling technique. The measurement instruments used in this study were based on the dimensions of self compassion proposed by Neff (1993) and the aspects of self esteem proposed by Coopersmith (1967). The analysis in this study was carried out using the Pearson's product moment technique. The results of the analysis showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) with an r value of 0.410. This shows that there is a significant positive relationship between self compassion and self esteem, where the higher the self compassion, the higher the self esteem, and vice versa. This, the hypothesis in this study can be accepted.
