ANALISIS NILAI TAMBAH DAN PERBANDINGAN USAHATANI BENIH DAN NON BENIH PADI DI DESA BUMI AGUNG KECAMATAN LEMPUING KABUPATEN OGAN KOMERING ILIR
This research was conducted to evaluate the magnitude of value added generated from the transformation of rice into certified seeds and to perform an economic performance comparison against non-seed rice farming (consumption rice). The research location was purposively determined in Bumi Agung Village, Lempuing District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, a significant rice production center. The study employed a survey method with purposive sampling, involving a total of 120 respondents, consisting of 60 seed growers and 60 non seed farmers. The analytical framework used to dissect the value added was the Hayami method, which enables a detailed identification of the contribution of input factors to the production output. The results of the study showed that rice seed farming in Bumi Agung Village, Lempuing District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency generated higher income compared to non-seed rice farming, amounting to Rp83,492,402/Lg/MT, while non seed rice farming generated Rp47,816,798/Lg/MT. Based on the value-added analysis, rice seed farming also produced a higher absolute value added of Rp639,782/kg compared to non-seed rice farming at Rp570,746/kg. However, the value-added ratio of non-seed rice farming was higher at 37.53%, compared to 28.15% for rice seed farming. This indicates that although rice seed farming generated higher income and absolute value added, non-seed rice farming was more efficient in creating value added relative to the output produced. Therefore, rice seed farming was superior in terms of income and absolute value added, while non seed rice farming was more efficient in generating value added.
